Since the very moment each one of us is delivered into this dimension of "life", we begin
our travel to death every hour, min, second that we are here. Many believe there is a
heaven or hell in which we will travel to once our time here has reached the end. And
others believe in other theories which may exist, sadly none of us will really know until it
is our time to travel that road.
Throughout the history of mankind, many have shared stories of chance encounters with
those who have passed on from this "life". With all the stories passed down and current
day experiences obtained throughout the world, the field of paranormal research
continues to grow. Serious researchers should not be frowned upon or called "crazy nut-
so's", as they come from all lines of work ethics such as; lawyers, law enforcement,
doctors, rocket scientists, teachers, ministers, preachers, dentists, etc....
The field of the paranormal can be very involved with many different avenues, theories,
categorizations, etc., and this can make it very difficult for one to understand to begin
with. Paranormal defined is basically that in which surrounds the realm of what we are
taught or recognize as the normal, and can involve much more then just the spirit-ghostly
side of things. Below we have put together an improv basic ghost hunt 101 for those to
read through and hopefully understand a bit more regarding said haunts, ghosts and
possible experiences experienced as well as carrying out a basic investigation .

1. If you believe you have an entity within your residence and feel uncomfortable with its
presence, contact us or any group of which have been investigating and/or researching
for two years or more. Groups as mentioned do have other reliable contacts, resources

2. Do not join a group if you are only in it for the thrill! There are many hours and
traveling involved when carrying out this research, not much thrill at all. There are more
times than not in which you will get nothing at all and will be expected to review hours of
data, which again is not thrilling and quite boring to say the least- cannot blink ,may miss
something creditable!
3. Never provoke or challenge an entity!! Always show respect, even if you feel you are
dealing with an evil or "dark" presence. Remember they too can react to such threats as
we feel to do so when threated. If you get hurt, it is no ones fault but your very own.
At the same time, home owners or ones residing in a home; if you are feeling very
uncomfortable and am tired of the games or such, speak out to them in an angry tone to
let them know that you are aware they are about but you now live there and wish for them
to quiet themselves and live together in harmony, and if the case- leave my children, pets
alone too. You can also reassure them that you are not there to hurt them or hurt the
property. This will usually quiet them down. Again: do not use vulgar language.

The Basics of Hunting Spirits/ Ghosts (these methods can be used by everyone;
researchers, as well as the resident of particular site, before calling out a group):
There are many different type of ghost / spirits in which one may encounter:
1. Human (self explanatory)
2. Non-human- which can involve even pets
3. Poltergeists- possibly on the darker side and/ or game player: and have been known
to throw things as well as play games with moving items, which one believes to have
been misplaced yet to show again in an area which was already searched.
4. Elementals
5. Intelligent- Interactive, Responsive, Can also move objects to get your attention
5. Guardian Angels
6. Residual- This form is known as non-responsive and not aware of your presence-
roaming - reoccurant spirit.. Example: as like a tape recorder or video recording which
repeats or plays over and over at a specific time; a missed wedding, traumatic event, a
place and event which was very special to ones heart, etc... These will usually occur at
the same time, same month ... If you are experiencing a haunt such as this , you will need
to record at which time and date, to prove such and then call someone / group to help you
out from there.
Photography: When using a digital camera, it is highly recommended, especially
beginners, to set your camera on automatic function. This will allow your camera to use
the flash when or not needed, as well as automatically focus items within the frame for
photo.
Helpful hints include: holding your camera in the exact location for roughly a second or
two after pushing the button to take photo, this will cut down on blurred photos.
Digital cameras have the LCD screen. Again it is highly recommended, if you see
something "strange" in the LCD screen-- Do not stop and take the time to review photo at
this time, but to continue taking pictures, as entities only have a small amount of energy
to show themselves. If you waste this time reviewing the last photo taken they have
moved beyond and you may have lost a possible transformation, known as an
"apparition". As well as draining your batteries more then need be. (We, human
substance have lots of time to review photos later).
When out on an investigation you may find when taking photos of a particular spot, say
four right after the other, two or one in the sequence may come out very dark or black,
please do not delete these from camera but wait until you can place on a larger scree
(computer or TV). If downloading to a computer and they still remain dark, you may want
to use a photo editor to lighten the photo and you may be surprised of what you see.
Many believe the photo(s) may have come out so dark due to someone or thing pulling
the energy from the flash.
We always recommend trying to debunk any sources of light or strange things showing
in photos, dark spots, wall /glass light reflectivity, etc., while at site.
Some people may set their cameras on night shot for dark photos to be taken and forget
to turn this mechanism off when taking pictures during the day , it has been proven the
day pictures will show a double-negative in the photo. That is why we recommend using
the automatic option on digital cameras.
If you find a real interesting , out of the ordinary photo, and unsure if it is truly due to
paranormal activity, we do recommend sending it to someone else who has had more
experience dealing with photos to help decipher lightening etc.., effects

Audio Recordings:
When setting up a voice recorder, one should record what time and area they are placing
the device.
Then make sure you and those around you are aware of the position/ area of which the
device has been set up. This is very important, as those who do walk in the area should
make themselves recognized with "hello this is so and so entering the room, whoops this
bang was made by us,,, etc," so during review you know who is where and what noises
are made by human substances and not false analyses.
If you choose to carry a recording device directly with you then the same procedure
should be carried out, keeping in mind even a cough, sneeze or simple footsteps, should
be stated on recording .. These simple procedures will cut down on review and lost time
spent on false sounds.
When involved with many others on a hunt , people need to respect those who are trying
to carry out EVP work and keep their voices down to a minimum and recognize what
equipment is where, regarding noise contamination.

We also recommend you familiarize yourself with your surroundings, keep noise levels to
a minimum to absent, and again if in question (photos) call upon someone for a separate
review and opinion.
Orbs:
There is a hotted debate regarding orbs, as many believe them just to be dust particles
captured in photos, more so now with the digital camera ability, although orbs have been
captured in photos since the first cameras were made...
We have found orbs to be commonly photographed and pay our strongest attention to
those which are solid and hold color within. Orbs are said to carry energy and thus the
reason for interest in them, as energy is said to be the main source for existence as well
as building to make their figure been seen. Heck, we all survive on an energy level and do
so day in and day out.
